PILATES BARRE, 50 MIN.

This fat-burning format of interval training with muscle-shaping isometrics quickly and safely reshapes the entire body. Our non-impact, workout uses both the ballet barre and the mat, and targets all major muscle groups. The result is the recognizable Barre body, featuring sculpted arms, flat abs, a lifted seat and elongated thighs. This workout also requires mental focus as muscles are strengthened and then stretched to create a longer, leaner physique.

We use the STOTT Pilates® method paying special attention to form for each student. Special breathing relieves stress and allows adequate oxygen flow to muscles for a strong core. The studio prides itself in making each class different. We include props such as: large stability balls, foam rollers, fitness circles, weights, arc barrels and bands.

CLASS TIMES: PILATES MAT 

 

 

ARM CHAIR PILATES, 50 MIN. 

Enjoy a challenging group Pilates class without getting down on a floor-mat. This class includes resistance training, core, balance and stability moves seated and standing. Fitness circles, bands, foam rollers and weighted balls will be used.

 

 

PILATES EQUIPMENT: REFORMER & TRX, 60 MIN.

REFORMER

The Reformer is the main piece of equipment in Pilates based resistance training. It is made up of springs, loops, a gliding carriage and a bar which challenge the body and mind. Resistance is created by the combination of springs, and one’s own body weight. When training on the reformer carriage, you body, arms and legs are in movement which challenges and improves your strength, suppleness, balance, coordination and concentration. 

 TRX

The TRX Suspension Trainer is a workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise. You can customize your workout by adjusting your body position to add or decrease resistance. 

Our Pilates Equipment group class is 60 minutes of both Reformer and TRX. There are 5-8 people in a class with 2 instructors paying special attention to your form. It is designed for all fitness levels, but you must take 5 private sessions and receive instructor approval prior signing up for a group class so that you are comfortable with the equipment.
